Hey One Lonely Guy. It’s a rainy day in Texas and found myself thinking about u. I am praying again that things r still going well 4 u. We never spoke but u answered a random text from me months ago. I just wanted u to know all these months later, u r still a topic of conversation here between some of us who experience isolation. We count u as inspirational and u have personally motivated me 2 b more proactive with starting friendships. It is a skill i neglected. I am attempting 2 change because your story proved something profound 2 me. I dont expect everything is perfect 4 u now, but i just bet things have changed and u r pleased. God bless u always. Take care. Bess.
(Second Text)
Well u made my day too! After seeing I saved ur address, I started praying u were well and considered how I could, in honor of your inspiration, improve my day. So I “gathered flowers”. I sent messages to ppl I havent seen or heard from, got out and smiled at ppl at gym, exercised and introduced myself to new folks at gym. All done to beat back the nonsense that can creep in. I am determined to change. Thx for helping in that. U showed me to TAKE ACTION not sit there in one’s mess … seriously, u rock! Thank you a million. Life is what we make it. And I pray u r blessed today by this ole Grandma in Texas. She needed a kick in the tail!
Jeff, One Lonely Guy: These two texts made my whole flyer worth it ten thousand times over. Reading this knocked me back. I am eternally humbled that I could help a person to this degree.
